This is the same tool used by professional Hollywood editors and colorists. Maybe it's something to due with updating resolve in the middle of a project?
Opened an old project with lots of heavily graded clips that worked fine in 12.3.2 and that seems to preform better (color tab plays fine without having to full screen the clip) and I've started a new project in 12.5.1 with XAVC-S footage (just imported a PrPro XML and started color) that seems to be grading fine so far. I've also got 2 crashes now and noticed loading up resolve is taking longer as well (just getting to the user screen from a fresh system reboot). Now near the end of the project I can no longer play the video in the color tab unless I full screen the clip first, Edit tab can still play but I had to turn proxy to 1/4 resolution. Also noticed some of my power grades, particularly ones with nested nodes in them, seemed to break the entire grade as in the clip would bypass all nodes and I could not make any adjustments to the clip even with new nodes unless I deleted the powergrade nodes. Started the cut in 12.3.2 and upgraded to 12.5.1 before I started color (I know but I needed to delete quicktime), almost immediately noticed some lag that got a lot worse the more I added to the grades and the more clips I graded. I'd like to add I'm seeing the same with a GTX 770 4GB, 4770k and 16GB DDR3-1866 using Pocket Prores and HD XAVC-S in my timeline.
